A Dalamud plugin for FINAL FANTASY XIV
A smartphone,
built for you.
Texts, calls, photos, feeds. A real phone that lives inside the game, without ever breaking the spell.
Free·Open source·AGPL-3.0
The apps, live
Take a look around.
Every phone below is drawn and animated right on this page, a living miniature of the real thing.
Messages
Conversations,
not chat logs.
Your /tells and linkshells become real conversations: bubbles, shared photos, typing dots and read ticks. Direct messages travel end-to-end encrypted, and voice calls for up to eight players ride along.
The Aethernet
A network of its own.
Aetherphone runs its own social network. One profile follows every character, across every world.
Chirper
Short posts with reactions, in For You and Following feeds.
Aethergram
A photo feed built on your in-game captures.
Polls
Community votes with live results.
Find People
Lodestone lookup that lands straight in a chat.
Sign in with your Lodestone character or XIVAuth. Profiles show a username and a region, never your character name or home world.
KupoAI
Ask Eorzea anything.
Quests, items, jobs, mechanics, lore: a moogle-flavored assistant with answers sourced from the wiki, right on the phone. Fifty questions a day, on the house, kupo.
The Device
It behaves like a phone.
Swipe down for Control Center, pick an accent, set a wallpaper. It all just works, right on top of the game.
Control Center
Swipe down. Volume, brightness, accent and Now Playing. Rearrange and resize every control.
Wallpapers & themes
Dusk, Halo, Shadow and Sky ship with the phone, each in light and dark.
Eight languages
Fully localized, down to the last screen.
The arcade, included
Sixteen games with high scores, streaks and dailies.
The Apps
Thirty-two apps.
One home screen.
Everything that used to live in a dozen plugins and browser tabs, on one device.
Install
On your screen in two minutes.
If you play through XIVLauncher, you are four steps away.

Questions
Asked often enough.
Is it free?
Yes. Aetherphone is free and open source under AGPL-3.0. The full source lives on GitHub, and contributions are welcome.
What do I need to run it?
FINAL FANTASY XIV on PC, launched through XIVLauncher with Dalamud enabled. No other plugins are required.
Where do my photos live?
On your machine. The camera writes PNG files to a local library, and nothing leaves your computer unless you choose to post it.
What exactly is the Aethernet?
A small social network run for Aetherphone users. It powers Chirper, Aethergram, Polls, KupoAI and voice calls, and your identity on it follows your characters across sessions and worlds. You sign in with your Lodestone character or XIVAuth, and profiles show a username and a region, never your character name.
How safe is the Aethernet?
Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted: they leave your machine as ciphertext, and only the person you're writing to can read them. The social feeds are moderated: every post and image is screened by AI, and politics, nudity, harassment and violence are not allowed on the main feeds.
Does it touch the game files?
No. Aetherphone draws in its own window through Dalamud, the same framework hundreds of community plugins are built on.
